Unlike the Dark Pictures games which were published by the pretty reputable Bandai Namco, this one is published by 2K, which has a huge track record of shady practices and business models (their line of sports games is a great example of this). I was initially intrigued by the announcement of The Quarry but after looking further into it, the more I became worried about The Quarry and by extension, what it means for Supermassive going forward. Although the yearly releases had me worried at first, I am very impressed by their ability to release games in a good state, something the rest of the industry seems to be struggling with. I know this is pretty controversial, and I just want to preface by saying I'm not sending any hate towards Supermassive or their fans as I am a fan myself.
